Remember that you control your life
When life is throwing us curveballs back-to-back, it’s easy to feel like we’re out of control. This is normal, and it’s just a side-effect of the fast-paced life we all live.
When we start to feel out of control, our minds get cloudy and we can start to lose track of reality. Interactions take on a different tone, and life as a whole has a much darker vibe.
This is a bad situation to be in, because it can easily cause a feedback loop. A feedback loop is when a cycle feeds into itself over and over.
For example:
More stress, less clarity, less focus, more stress, less clarity…
How to take back control when you feel lost:
Breathe deep, in and out.
Focus on what you’re doing right now.
Think about why you’re doing it, what you’re working on, and what the end result of this task will be. Bring yourself into the present moment.
A few breaths and reminders of your path in life, and you will arrive back at your normal, grounded existence.
